2026 Dr. David C. W. Lau Lectureship
The David C. W. Lau Lectureship is given in recognition of merit in (i) teaching and providing inspiration to students and colleagues; (ii) providing leadership through scientific publications and participation in professional associations, which result in significant progress in the field of endocrinology and obesity; and (iii) supporting the long-term development of outstanding programs related to obesity and the treatment of obesity.
THE 2026 AWARD RECIPIENT
Dr. André Tchernoff, PhD
Dr. Tchernof studies metabolic complications of obesity and body fat distribution, with a particular emphasis on adipose tissue physiology. He combines experimental approaches of cellular biology techniques with biochemistry, genomics, transcriptomics and clinical investigation in humans as well as the study of bariatric surgery.
